A drawing done for Jamie for Christmas.
Clicking on the image will take you to larger versions.
The logo was cut out of zipatone.
The photo of the picture was taken with it in a frame, which is why it starts to fade a little to the right.
A place for comics artist Joëlle Jones to share some of her recent drawings and commissions.

TOKEN pages for sale; commissions, etc.
Hey, all. Jamie here, just popping in to let you know that I have updated the site so that the downloadable pdf in the sidebar on the right has a full list of pages available from Token. Joëlle also has copies of the book available if anyone wanted to buy a signed copy, too.
If you're interested, please grab grab the document and take a look. There are also still plenty of 12 Reasons Why I Love Her pages for sale and some remaing art from our first two Popgun stories.
The document also contains prices for Joëlle's commissions. If anyone is thinking about buying a friend or loved one art for the holidays, now would be the time to get an order in. Drop us a line at joellejonesart[a]gmail.com.
Thanks!

UNUSED T-SHIRT DESIGN
This was done earlier this year. It wasn't really what the client was looking for, but I like it all on its own.

WONDER WOMAN DAY III
UPDATE: Off-site bidding by proxy info is now available. Bidding starts tomorrow, October 16 and lasts through midnight October 25.
October 26 is the third-annual Wonder Woman Day. Organized by Andy Mangels, the day consists of auctions and events in Portland, OR, and Fleminton, NJ, and are intended to raise money for women's shelters and crisis hotlines. Comics artists of all varieties are donating Wonder Woman art to the cause. You can read more about it and see the art pieces at the event website.
I have contributed a painting to the Portland auction.
It's oil on canvas and measures 11" X 16". You will be able to bid on it online, check back at the site closer to the date. (October 16, I think, bidding opens...?)

TOKEN is on its way
As many probably know, the Minx line at DC is being suspended, and there has been a lot of nonsense floating around on the internet about it. This includes the false assumption that my book with Alisa Kwitney, Token, has been canceled.
This is not true. Token is still coming out. According to its page at the Minx site, it will be out October 22. Don't let anyone tell you different.

AUDREY KATANA
This was done for our friend Maryanne Snell, whose soon-to-be born second child is going to be named Audrey Katana. So, she and her husband Bruce asked for a drawing of Audrey Hepburn in place of Uma Thurman on the cover of Kill Bill.

SKETCHES AND SKETCHBOOKS
This collection of people was drawn while looking at the crowd at CAPE, and thus is not in the sketchbook put together for the show.
The CAPE sketchbooks are still available, however, and it's at least 90% new. The cover is the same as some earlier books (the girl on the knife thrower's wheel), but it has a lot of recent stuff not seen under that cover before. If anyone is interested, drop a line to the joellejonesart[a]gmail.com address. $7 with postage.

EBAY AUCTIONS, ART PRICES, AND FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
Hi, everyone. Jamie here, writing on behalf of Joëlle. I handle a lot of her commissions and art sales, and I wanted to update everyone on some things.
First, we have an updated price list that includes the original art from 12 Reasons Why I Love Her, the first Popgun story, and details on Joëlle's commissions. You'll see it in the sidebar here on the blog, to the right of this post.
Second, we are trying a little experiment and I have put up three pieces of art on eBay: Joëlle's Gen13 group pin-up and two pages from 12 Reasons. You can see these auctions at my seller's profile here. Please note that even though I am running these auctions, all the money goes to Joëlle.
Third, for anyone in the Dallas area, both Joëlle and I will be attending CAPE again this year to celebrate Free Comic Book Day. Check out the CAPE website. Other guests this year include Chynna Clugston, Gail Simone, Jason Pearson, David Mack, and tons more. The event is on May 3, and if you want to book a drawing ahead of time, please inquire at joellejonesart@gmail.com.
Thanks for reading, and thanks to Joëlle for letting me butt in here on her blog.
