Hey, all.
Jamie has put the page I drew for Fables up on eBay for me. With Comic Con approaching, it's time to raise some additional funds for the trip. Below is a scan of the page from the comic, and if you click on the picture, it will take you to the auction.
Please note that Madman pages are also still available, and they are mostly priced at $100. Please e-mail if interested.
Here also is a bonus Rose Red drawing, done at Emerald City in 2007. Sorry the scan is so light.

Con Sketch Sundays: Star Wars
Some old con sketches recently came our way, and so I'm going to feature some of them on intermittent Sundays leading up to my next convention appearance: Comic Con International in San Diego, July 22-26.
These two pieces were done at Emerald City in Seattle in 2007.

SANDMAN: ORPHEUS & EURYDICE
Another piece for Rob Casteel as part of his project to have artists recreate favorite Sandman scenes. This particular painting is based on Sandman Special #1 by Neil Gaiman, Bryan Talbot, and Mark Buckingham. Bit of trivia: Alisa Kwitney, who wrote Token, was an assistant editor on the series at the time.

12 REASONS WHY I LOVE HER/BLANKETS - The Crossover
This was commissioned as a gift for someone whose favorite comics are 12 Reason Why I Love Her and Blankets. The basic concept was Gwen and Evan from 12 Reasons reading Craig Thompson's book. The final piece ends up using props from Blankets as background, too.
To go with the drawing, we also included signed copies of both books, and Craig drew in the Blankets:
It was tempting to forge his signature in a different copy and keep this one!

Some more Endless
Rob Casteel has gotten multiple Sandman-related drawings from me, and his collection of art featuring Neil Gaiman's characters is extensive, maybe the biggest there is. You should check out the whole online gallery.
These two pieces haven't been posted here before.

SUPERGIRL studies
This is the original pencil sketch for the Supergirl painting posted on Saturday:
This is another idea for it, but ultimately, the pose similar to the Wonder Woman painting won out, since that was what the buyer asked for.

My first SPELL CHECKERS pages
Spell Checkers is the series Jamie S. Rich and I came up with, and though Nicolas Hitori de will be doing the main story, I'll be doing covers and the flashbacks. The first graphic novel will be out some time next year.
Here is page 3 and page 15 from chapter 1. Looking at Modesty Blaise comics for that commission I did inspired me to experiment with cross-hatching. (You can follow the links and select "all sizes" to view the bigger images.)
Nico's site is here, and Jamie has some teases on his blog.
